Clients Love Barba Landscape Inc.
Varun R.
"Barba Landscaping is consistent, friendly, and reasonably priced. They keep our garden maintained and healthy and manage the various plants we have with ease. Would recommend if you are looking for your go-to landscapers." - Varun R.
Richard C.
"When our long-time gardening service at Kingston Townhomes East went out of business, we evaluated proposals from seven highly-rated landscaping companies. Barba Landscape & Design was clearly the best of the bunch, and we could not be more pleased with the work they've done for us since 2021. Barba does it all -- weekly gardening and cleanup, keeping the shrubbery well-trimmed, as well as maintaining our sprinkler system. And when we have questions or a problem, Jose and Ricky are quick to respond. Reasonably priced, too. A terrific gardening service!" - Richard C.
John S.
"Ricky came over personally to troubleshoot a short in our FX landscape lighting system that we were hoping would be a quick fix. Managed to isolate the problem pretty fast but had to send his crew back to get it totally done -- which they did, efficiently. Ricky is super personable and I would absolutely recommend him!" - John S.
Karl S.
"We have used Barba Landscape for the weekly landscaping as well as new installations at multiple buildings and my family residence since 2018 and they have always been great. High attention to detail and take pride in their work. Highly recommend." - Karl S.
Nancy T.
"We couldn't be happier with the service and support we get from José, Ricky, and the whole Barba team. They are professional, conscientious, and responsive. They completely relandscaped our front and back yards, including lighting, and the result is gorgeous. They also built a raised vegetable garden and help maintain it." - Nancy T.
Cecy M.
"THE BEST LANDSCAPE!! I will say if you need a good design for your garden, you can find that with Barba Landscape!" - Cecy M.
Build an Irrigation System That Supports Your Landscape
Your irrigation system should deliver the right amount of water to the right areas without wasting water or leaving parts of the landscape underserved.
30+ Years of Excellence in Santa Monica
About Us
Founded in 1991, Barba Landscape is a full-service landscape design and installation company serving Santa Monica and surrounding Los Angeles communities.
Because we work with the entire landscape, we can design irrigation around plant needs, sun exposure, slopes, soil conditions, turf, and drought-tolerant areas. We handle residential and commercial irrigation systems, including sprinklers, drip zones, valves, controllers, main lines, and backflow components.
Clear Pricing and Timelines
A complete irrigation system may include main lines, multiple zones, valves, controllers, drip tubing, rotors, pop-up sprinklers, pressure regulation, and backflow protection.
We review the property and project scope before work begins so you know what is being installed and how the system will operate. For larger projects, we can also coordinate irrigation with planting, grading, hardscape, and other landscape work.
Quality Irrigation Components
We install professional-grade irrigation equipment selected for the needs of each property rather than using the same setup everywhere.
Our systems may include products from Rain Bird, Hunter, Netafim, FEBCO, Rachio, and other established brands. Depending on the project, we install valves, rotors, spray heads, drip lines, pressure regulators, backflow components, controllers, and related equipment built for long-term outdoor use.

Your Full-Service Irrigation and Sprinkler Company
From complete landscape irrigation systems to drip zones and smart controllers, we install irrigation that supports your plantings and property use.

Sprinkler System Installation
Sprinklers remain one of the most effective ways to irrigate turf, larger planting areas, and other parts of the landscape that benefit from broader coverage. We install pop-up sprinklers, spray zones, rotor zones, and other sprinkler configurations based on the size, shape, slope, and planting needs of the property
Proper head placement and zoning help distribute water more evenly while reducing overspray onto sidewalks, driveways, walls, and hardscape. For larger lawns, slopes, and open areas, rotor sprinklers can provide longer-range coverage than standard spray heads and can be incorporated into dedicated irrigation zones.

Drip Irrigation Systems
Drip irrigation delivers water directly into planted areas rather than spraying it broadly across the landscape. It works especially well for garden beds, shrubs, trees, hedges, native plants, and drought-tolerant landscaping.
We install professional drip irrigation systems using tubing, emitters, filtration, pressure regulation, and related components from established manufacturers such as Netafim. Drip zones can operate independently or as part of a larger irrigation system that also includes sprinklers and rotors, allowing different areas of the property to receive the type of watering they need.

Irrigation Valves, Controllers and System Components
A complete irrigation system depends on much more than the sprinkler heads you see above ground. We install the valves, valve manifolds, main lines, shut-off valves, pressure regulators, backflow components, controllers, and other equipment needed to operate multiple irrigation zones.
Depending on the system, we install both brass and plastic irrigation valves along with conventional timers and smart irrigation controllers from manufacturers such as Rain Bird, Hunter, and Rachio. Proper zoning allows lawns, planting beds, drip irrigation, trees, slopes, and other areas to follow separate watering schedules instead of treating the entire property the same way.

Drought-Tolerant and Hillside Irrigation
Southern California landscapes often combine native plants, drought-tolerant planting, traditional landscape areas, slopes, and hardscape. Each area can have very different watering requirements, particularly on properties where runoff or water efficiency is a concern.
We design irrigation systems around the actual layout and plant material of the property. Drip irrigation can serve low-water planting beds, while properly planned sprinkler or rotor zones can cover larger areas. Hillsides and slopes can also be placed on dedicated zones to better manage water distribution and reduce unnecessary runoff.
For landscape renovations, we can coordinate irrigation upgrades with new planting and other improvements to create a system that better matches the finished landscape.

Commercial Irrigation Systems
Barba Landscape installs irrigation systems for commercial properties as well as residential landscapes. Commercial systems may include multiple sprinkler and drip zones, larger valve manifolds, controllers, main lines, pressure regulation, backflow components, and irrigation serving entryways, common areas, lawns, planting beds, and perimeter landscaping.
Because we also provide commercial landscaping services, we can look at irrigation as part of the overall property rather than as an isolated system. That helps us plan watering around plant health, appearance, maintenance needs, traffic patterns, and the long-term performance of the landscape.
